DON'T FORGET, BUSH SENTENCED TOMMMY

-Bush appointed the judge.
-Bush appointed Ashcroft.
-Ashcroft starts operation pipedream.
-Busted Tommy for sending bong through the mail. However, Tommy didn't own the business, didn't send the bong through the mail. Took rap for his son with promise of a light sentence. Got max sentence. Ashcroft's henchman was sitting there when the judge sentenced him.
-Judge kept referencing movies Tommy had made 20 years prior.
-Judge that sentenced Tommy later reprimanded for plagiarizing his summary in earlier court case.

I dont know about everyone else's thoughts on this but WTF is our country turning into?? I feel like everyone around me is a zombie-- and not a stoned zombie but people I can never seem to assimilate myself to...zombies in the mind....hell they don't even need drugs....but so uncaring it seems like to me...

I think that it was pathetic that he even did any thing about it. It's not like i t is a bomb or anything. I am a really big fan of cheech and chong and it sux that they even did anything to him. I think that he should be free of any charges.i would of told the judge to chill and smoke some bud.....

IT Really pisses me off to no end that Tommy was thrown in jail for this.

Clean Bongs are 100 percent legal and I do not care what the FBI says. In fact the FBI needs to be taken down a few notches, not too mention any and all law enforcement that think they can bend the law on a whim.

I come from Europe but live in CA because I love America and most of the people, I certainly do not flag wave for my old country like so many ex-pats do (I'm from the UK, Great Britain to some of you, just so you know, it's the same place). If the old country was so great why don't you flag waving ex-pats go back there and wave your flag? Because you know you would be arrested for being a racist (and that is not an exageration!). So before anyone reads this and says if you don't like it go home, well I do like it, I'm just excercising my rights!
I have always leaned towards the right of politics, but I must say, I could never vote for Bush, he is not a true Republican or even right winger, just a bad person and a crook. People here are so one or the other, black and white, they always vote for their side because their father did or whatever. I am not anti-Republican, I just could not vote for Bush, why do people blindly vote for this guy just because he leads the party they have to follow because they can't stop and think for themselves, I didn't think John Kerry was good enough to be the president, but I know Bush isn't, look at the mess the country is in after 4 years.
Anyway, enough of boring politics, Tommy Chong, I loved the movies and have watched them all many times and think they are genius and harmless fun, I don't smoke dope and I never have, but I would never tell someone else not to, it is their own decision, just like I would never tell anyone not to be a born again christian or not to follow organised religion. His arrest for selling a bong is ridiculous, should we arrest people for selling guns because they might be used to shoot people with? If only. And while I am on that subject, the next tough guy who thinks it is being a man and American to go out and shoot a Dear, well, why don't you show everyone what a real man you are by fighting the Dear hand to hoof, fight him with what God gave you and what God gave him instead of hiding 40 feet away like the cowards you are, we will see how tough you are when it rips you and your overweight fat headed kids apart. And I am not a commie vegitarian, I love meat, but there are more civilised ways of doing it, it's not sport, it's being a coward, just because your forefathers did it doesn't mean it is a tradition we have to follow, think for yourselves.
The politics may seem a bit removed from Tommy Chong, but it displays the attitude of some of the numskulls I see everyday, which is what has lead to situations like Tommy being jailed.
Please everyone, this place really could be a wonderland if everyone wasn't so selfish and intent on controlling what people do all the time, go and live in the UK for 40 years like I did and you will thank God everyday for being allowed to live in such a fantastic place like America. I hear people moaning about money and the price of gas, well our gas over there is about $9 or $10 bucks a gallon, try living like that all your life and you will see why we are all so skinny, we actually have to walk everywhere!

Bush didn't sentenace tommy! Ashcroft did! Bush cant be held for what ashcroft did! Now please brothers and sisters don't get me wrong, what happend to tommy was very wrong but bush didn't sentence him. Regardless on your personal opion of bush don't judge him unfairly.
